My first game of the season is on Saturday, and I'm excited. Quote from a satisfied customer: "You hit me so hard my teeth rattled." If you had asked me four years ago if I would be tickled pink at the thought of knocking someone silly I would have said never in a million years, and yet here I am... busting my ass every week (and busting others') in a sport that I helped bring to the area. Excuse my nostalgia and pride... It's incredible to be starting another season.

Writing updates:

• recast_bigbang looks to be dead in the water. I'm not sure if I'll finish or post what I have because it's gotten to the point where I kind of hate it.
• rarewomen is gooooooo. I'm glad the deadline is far off!
• kink_bingo 's latest mini challenge is "something new" and I'd like to write something... I'm just struggling to figure out what.
• I still don't have a solid idea for queer_bigbang , but it's far in the distance of my mind at the moment.
• I signed up for Remix Redux yesterday and damnit, I'm going to participate this year.
• Is it too early to be getting excited for femslash12? IS IT?

Oh, gah, you aren't kidding. Anything that I'm comfortable enough to try I already have to varying degrees of success. Though, I suppose that's the point. Push the comfort zone. BUT IT IS CALLED THAT FOR A REASON.

remixers_lounge.livejournal.com -- I'm not sure if you make any of the qualifying fandoms. Basically, you get assigned an author based on fandoms in common, pick one of their stories, and remix it. (And someone does the same for you.) It can be a little terrifying in the qualifying fandoms because they're all predominately M/M or M/F fandoms (aren't they all...) because you can't "mix" up the pairings or main plotpoints.

I'm going to be uploading some footage which I'd be happy to share with you.
