Very excited for both the next round of seasonsofdrabbles and the upcoming rarefemslashexchange. I'll be spending the next few weeks mining my fandoms for potential noms.

I also enjoyed the Strange Empire fic, as well as kimaracretak's own Shirley/Rose. I think that rounds out the fandoms I'm familiar enough with, though I may have missed something!

And a bit of chatter about writing! 

Allison/Patty was my assignment, and I circled around three or four different ideas for a long time before finally coming back to my first, but tidied up a little bit. Liz betaed for me, and I think it came out well. 

Rose/Shirley was a pinch, and as such, I didn't want to reveal til now that I watched Shirley and it was very much the impetus for filling the very real blind spot of Shirley Jackson's writing in my history. Shirley is very much a biopic mixed with adaptation of Hangsaman, and I hope that my fic captured that energy well. lunabee34 betaed for me, which was really lovely.

I've been watching kimaracretak talk about the movie for a bit now, and was hoping to be assigned to her to get me to watch it! :D I'm glad I got the opportunity.

And yeah, I'm surprised too! I clearly have some very me-shaped gaps in my reading history, so I'm hoping to rectify that.
