some technology cautions

1. If you are in the market for a Chromebook, I both strongly recommend them (for users who only use web apps to watch, read, and write) and strongly caution them. When you are shopping, note the brand and model number. This has a DRAMATIC affect on when your Auto Updates (i.e., the thing that keeps your entire OS secure and compatible with apps) END. I've seen ZERO listings referencing this, and some things that look like amazing deals like refurbished (or even new!) Chromebooks will only last another year or two before they're obsolete. Now, once one is past AUE (Auto Update End) it doesn't fully brick. But say, on mine, I can no longer stream using any services including Spotify, and now when I use Google Drive my browser is reminding me that it isn't up to date or secure.
2. If you frequently deal with sinus woes, you might want to consider the investment that is a Navage. I dislike using a Neti Pot because it is messy, a long process, and doesn't fully do the job. Well, we took the plunge on the Navage, and while it does take some getting used to, the mess is FAR less, the whole process takes under a minute. I'm really excited to run it tomorrow morning after a night of congealing. (Yes, you do get to see all of your boogers in their glory.)
