I am online yet again, and mostly settled. Pictures to come for those interested.

A few looming fandom deadlines... but meanwhile:

I currently have 169 works archived at the AO3. Pick a number from 1 (the most recent) to 169 (the first thing I posted there), and I'll tell you three things I currently like about it. Like gloss, my numbering doesn't always reflect chronologicality, as I shift  archives on whims. If you'd rather, I have 638 entries on my wordpress -- this includes lots of overlap, and more individual entries for stories that may be on AO3 as chaptered fic. Give a number and specify which archive you'd like me to poke. If under 169, I'll assume you mean AO3 unless specified.

AO3, 87!

87 is you have always worn me well, which is a Parks & Recreation drabble about Ethel Beavers and her lesbian life partner lady, Muriel (who you see briefly in "The Bubble" in a not-explictly-gay way, and who is jossed by Ethel's non-visible husband in season 4, I thin.) Ethel/Muriel was one of the prompts that gloss left in the femslash[year] exchange I was matched on her with. While I ended up chickening out, I am glad that I eventually DID write them. I like that I pushed myself and wrote older characters, which is something that has been pointed out to me that I seldom do. I like that this feels pretty real, and that it is a small moment that is a picture of something bigger.

13 is my old heart which is a drabble for The Duchess. Funny that you picked this, because I think a part of the meme, for me, is coming up with things you like about stories you maybe... don't? like. And I don't really like this. It feels forced to me -- I'm probably projecting my emotions onto it, as I kinda forced myself to FINALLY do it -- and the historical anachronism REALLY bugs me. I like the parentheticals. The first line is really boss, too.

17 is calling me back home, a Leslie/Ann Parks fic written around the time I was losing interest in them and in the series. I love that my waning joy doesn't show in the story -- in fact, I love EVERYTHING about this story. I love Leslie's light-up sweater, and Ann's willingness to drop everything for Leslie. I love the banter, and how easily this could have been CANON. Jeez, I am not bitter.

Oh wow, did you look through the list? Cause #147 is the curses through my teeth which was probably the height of my involvement in Skins fandom.

I like that I had this drabble idea and pushed myself until I did it! It was the appropriate level of self-commitment (far less than, say, Sivi's album-inspired fic series) and I was 100% okay with that. YAY! Also, my Katie voice is truly rad.

It was a complete coincidence! I started looking and was very impressed by the amount you've written, and then I just chose a random number. So it was just serendipity that it was a Skins piece. I haven't had a chance to read it yet, but I plan to.

While my feelings for Skins are very mixed at this point, I'm still incredibly fond of it in a nostalgic kind of a way. I reread Transatlanticism, Fate is Overgrown and what there is of Bedlam (I do hope Jen finishes it. It seems a shame to have written 100000 words or so and quit so close to the end) last year and the feelings were, well, not entirely comfortable but definitely there.

Katie was one of those characters it took me ages to get to like, but I got there eventually :)

I have SUPER mixed and emotional-fuck feelings about Skins! I am not sure if I'm going to watch season 7 or not due to them.
