Why do you dislike 11 [Freddie/Effy] so much?
This ship is supposed to be all about love in the face of craziness, and I never saw it. The writers went off the rails during season 4, but Cook is a solid replacement for Tony in Effy's life, and I just can't see Freddie ever meaning anything to her, or she to him, other than something to be idealized.

Simon almost raped her. Simon also duped the hell out of Alicia, and Kelly was in a dubcon relationship with a gorilla. Yeah. I quit the show.

Rebecca/Paul! Leslie/Ron is basically harmless since it's obviously never happening on the show, and whatever, basically. But Rebecca/Paul involves deep misreading of the characters and idolization of Paul, which I absolutely cannot stand.
Which ship do you prefer, 2 [Ann/Leslie] or 4 [Michael/Lindsay]?
They're both practically canon, but I'll say M/L because I find the fic about them fucking much more believable. Ann/Leslie never seem to get past holding hands and snuggling. Which is cool with me.
What interests you about 15 [Gabrielle/Carrie]?
They're vastly different. They begin the series by hating one another. There's absolutely ZERO fandom for this, so I don't know how or where to go about this.
Why did you stop liking 7 [Emily/Naomi]?
The fandom got ridiculous. It hit too close to home. Eh.
Did your waning interest in 9 [Bill/Sookie] kill your interest in the show?
I'm not sure. I loathe 90% of Bill/Sookie and am obsessed with the other 10%. Most of fandom ignores the problematic nature of their relationship, but I like fandom that explores it. That's what keeps me in True Blood, sadly enough, is exploring the shit that the show just hands out like it's delicious.

I think my biggest problem with Freddie/Effy was I could never see why Effy would be interested. Let's just not bother with season 4 because it was a mess but in season 3 it was the only relationship I couldn't really understand. I understood why Cook went for Effy (pretty much because of Freddie for the first half of the season and then developing feelings in the second half), why Effy went for Cook (mutual nihilism = good times on Skins!), why Freddie went for Effy (because...crush? Idealization? Idk, I will say I never thought it was shown as some great true love in season 3. I mean he barely ever talked to her) and then I come to a total block when I try to work out why on earth Effy would be in love with Freddie. What. Does not compute.
