Yeah, word on all of those points. I have much more respect for a film like--fuck, I always forget the title--with the Silent Hill girl. Tree land? Similar in some ways, because it has that Southern gothic appeal, but so much darker (AND LIGHTER!) and successful.
I was shocked there wasn't more of an outcry against The Runaways. I guess because it didn't get a wider release. And the rape/sex was all off screen.
If I could watch True Blood without thinking about it, I would be fine.
