So, for this year I'm going to thematically divide recs. Continuations of Canon

+ something that feels right - Juno, Juno/Leah. The fic I received! I couldn't be happier with this: references to how I imagine canon really played out, inclusion of Vanessa--this is femslash within a stunning gen piece about three amazing women.
+ our faces split the coast in half - Princess Protection Program, Carter/Rosie. I am a sucker for pieces of fiction. This author's use of parenthesis is really gorgeous.
+ facet - Push, Nick/Cassie. Five new pieces of an expanded universe. I want to swim around in this story for days. I want to write fanfiction for this fanfiction.
+ London, Under a Raincloud - Imagine Me & You, Luce/Rachel. A quiet moment between the two.
+ Your Revenge on the World - Wizards of Waverly Place, Justin/Alex. Alex clings to Justin as he gets ready to go to college.
+ Sandbox Love - Jennifer's Body, Jennifer, Needy. A great mix of flash forward and missing moments from all through Jennifer and Needy's friendship.
+ Teaching the World to Sing (in Perfect Harmony) - Glee, Will/Quinn. I'm actually terrified by how much I like this, seeing as I despise Will in canon. Somehow, the author has made the two of them work.
+ Prodigious Verbiage. - Fingersmith, Maud/Sue. This is the hottest period-piece porn I have ever read. There is even porn-writing within the story!
+ (Pretty Much) the Best Christmas Ever - Princess Protection Program, Carter/Rosie. Flat out squeedom.
+ Symphony No. 25 in G Minor - United States of Tara, Marshall. Truly beautiful continuation of Marshall and Tara's story.
+ Happy as can be - Juno, Juno/Mark. A great POV piece, continuing and retelling the story of the movie.
+ The Itch - Jennifer's Body, Jennifer, Needy. I had the pleasure of betaing this; great Needy voice.
+ Searching for Something that Makes Hearts Move - Whip It, Pash/Maggie. Future!Pash as an out bisexual, really coming into her own as a character separate from Bliss.
+ The Kinesis of Flight - Bend it Like Beckham, Jess/Jules. This piece blends poetry and prose.

Missing moments from Canon
+ All the Single Ladies - Glee, Gen. Five tiny pieces of the lives of the girls of New Directions. Worth it just for each one section, but combined... Smashing.
+ Mnemonic Devices to Help You Remember How to Spell Mnemonic Devices - Wizards of Waverly Place, Justin/Alex. Perfect show levels of incest. This should be an episode.
+ Easy as - Glee, Santana/Brittany.
+ Five Reasons Justin Decided He was the Good One - Wizards of Waverly Place, Justin/Alex. Very subtle incest here, missing pieces to why Justin is the way he is.
+ used to be one of the rotten ones - Skins, Gen. Moments from each of the kids. Artful language.
+ It's that old devil moon in your eyes - Sonny With a Chance, Chad/Sonny. I have never laughed so hard over a fanfic. I had to stop and read most of this aloud to my sister to share the love.
+ Bicoastal Shoes - Saturday Night Live RPF, Amy/Tina. What a wonderful tribute to their love; voices are spot-on.
+ Moonbounce - Parks & Recreation, Leslie/Ann. Perfect amounts of show gayness. Should be an episode.
