Year End Meme Time of Year
2015 Resolution/Goals: 15 books, 60 movies/TV seasons, more selfies, one Femme Friday a month, actually submit at least one piece to at least one press
Status: Books and movies/TV shows = check!, more selfies = pretty good, Femme Friday = gave that up, submission = mrehhh but I guess for a loop hole, I wrote for publication at work!
2016 Resolution/Goals: Neutralize debt, move in with Liz, 15 non-work books.

Your main fandom of the year? I spent most of the year in a fandom blackout, but Degrassi was a solid contender. Then The Force Awakened.
Your favorite film you watched this year? Other than The Force Awakens, I really enjoyed all of the Tig Notaro.
Your favorite book read this year?
Traditional Media: Sharp Objects or The Year of the Flood
YA: Did not read much YA/Kidlit this year, but Moving Target beats Rose Under Fire.
Graphic Novel: the Princess Leia miniseries
Your favorite album or song to listen to this year? Taylor Swift 1989, Hamilton for the back end
Your favorite tv show of the year? Steven Universe, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Degrassi
Your best new fandom discovery of the year? Steven Universe, Jessica Jones
Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year? Orange is the New Black. Whatever momentum it had kind of deflated for me. True Detective.

LIFE QUESTIONS
1. What did you do in 2015 that you'd never done before? Asked someone to marry me. Had a job I wished I could do all the time.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I did pretty well with media this year, considering I don't feel like I read/watched all that much. I think I'm done with resolutions as a sort of ideal. Goals are my new jam.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? A friend from college? (AKA no.)
4. Did anyone close to you die? No.
5. Which countries did you visit? My big trip was to Minneapolis, so.
6. What would you like to have in 2016 that you lacked in 2015? ~money~ (always)
7. What dates from 2015 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? Dates won't stick, but proposing to Liz was kind of a huge deal. And my job interview for my current job.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? I got a raise after working a job for two months. Got another raise after six months. BOOM. Setting boundaries. Becoming more confident and sure.
9. What was your biggest failure? Writing has taken a big back seat this year.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? I was pretty depressed all year, looking back. Nothing else major.
11. What was the best thing you bought? COLORING BOOKS. Or, I don't know, Liz's ring. :P
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? You guys are all pretty awesome.

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted? Quite a bit less. Though I did a decent amount of work on importing older works into AO3 and organizing myself.
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January? My Yuletide fic. Not so much the pairing/fandom but the kink. I also wouldn't have predicted American Horror Story, but that was a pinch.
What's your own favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest? HAPPIEST? A heart-shaped hole or You might just find. Canon-resolvey femslash.
Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them? My only real risk was Yuletide. All of it was outside of my comfort zone, but it is the story I wanted to write. Even if the recip didn't exactly love it. Sorry not sorry?
Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year? I would like to write more in my job. As far as fanfic... just don't default on anything I sign up for.
