aphrodite_mine: barrettes in reddish hair read 'feminist killjoy' (random - feminist killjoy)

Dear Yuletide Author

After a year off of the exchange, I am tentatively back but playing it super safe with my offers and requests. I have requested only fandoms and characters with which I would be pleased to read nearly everything. I don't have many hardline triggers/squicks, but they differ in each fandom. Optional details are, of course, optional. If you would like more details, you should feel welcome to contact [personal profile] prozacpark  and ask questions (she's cool with this arrangement!), or ask vague things anon on tumblr (I am aphrodite-mine there, too).

With that out of the way: THANK YOU, author! I love stories! I love that you offered to write women for this exchange! For any fandom you may have matched on, I would love femslash, femgen, or incest (if applicable). Here are my requests:

Bunheads
Michelle Simm

Tell me about Michelle growing up. Tell me about Michelle in Vegas. Tell me about Michelle needing love. Tell me about Michelle and Fanny. Tell me about Michelle and her girls. Tell me about Michelle being a friend, being a teacher, being a parental figure, being a fuck-up, being a winner. Give me interpretive dance, dreamscapes, and the weird little town of Paradise.

Ships if you want em: with Sasha, Fanny, Truly, Talia, OFC
Squicks: dancer diet regimen, dub-con drunk anything (reflecting on is okay, but watching it happen would make me ick)
Find it: most of Bunheads' single season is available on ABC Family's website or app

The Cahill Witch Chronicles -- Jessica Spotswood
Sachiko Ishida

Tell me about Sachi developing powers. Tell me about Sachi's relationship with her family, with Rory, with other girls at school. Tell me about what it's like to be not white. Tell me about the girl in the alley. Tell me about prison. Tell me about fear, courage, the future, the past. Give me magic, yearning, and fashion.

Ships if you want em: with the girl in the alley, Rory, Cate, OFC
Squicks: dub/non-con magic anything, torture without hope
Find it: books one and two are available on Paper Back Swap and public libraries (Born Wicked, Star Crossed).

Evil Dead (2013)
Mia

Tell me about addiction. Tell me about loss. Tell me about evil, and how it feels. Tell me about dying, about living, and about choosing to live. Give me fighting, alternate endings, and fighting again.

Ships if you want em: with David
Squicks: detailed accounts of rape
Find it: on DVD and On Demand

Gravity
Ryan Stone

Tell me about life before, about life after. Tell me about her daughter, about balancing work and home. Tell me about emptiness. Show me space, and weight, and dealing.

Ships if you want em: just about any female who Ryan would be likely to meet (Joan Watson?)
Squicks: None
Find it: in theaters

Top of the Lake
Robin Griffin

Show me teenage Robin. Show me Robin's early years at work. Show me Robin and Tui. Show me Robin and guns. Tell me about landscape, about long nights, about finding things to cling to.

Ships if you want em: Johnno. Desperately!
Squicks: One rape in a girl's life is (more than) enough. So, please no rape h/c.
Find it: On Netflix

Orphan Black
Alison Hendrix

Tell me about Alison as a child, as a teen, as a young woman, finding out for the first time, deciding to get involved. Tell me about her interactions with her parents, with Donnie, with Aynsley, with Cosima, with Beth, with Sarah. With her children. Show me chaos and vulnerability, strength and "eff you."

Ships if you want em: Beth, Sarah, Aynsley, OFCs
Squicks: I don't want to read about Alison's obsession with biological children/Kyra.
Find it: On DVD and on BBC America (and regular BBC?)
