collaborative writing?

I'm actually getting serious about co-writing this series with a friend, and I'm looking for some shared writing software that has

easy/clean organization including folders or places for outlines and character profiles
quickish load time
live writing in the same window
possibly chat within the program

and that is compatable with windows, mac, and super wishful thinking, iPhone.

I don't even know what to google, here. Any ideas? I wouldn't mind paying a bit, just nothing staggering.

I cannot think of a thing, and I've been looking for a while. I did give up, though, when I couldn't find a program that was working out. (Er. And also when my partner started focusing exclusively on a side character instead of our leads. To be honest, I'm commenting in hopes you'll share if you find something.

I will let you know! So far I have two recs for Google Drive, which I already use and would probably work but isn't exactly what I want.
