Order of the Stick has a awful lot of in-jokes to begin with, which you really have to know D&D pretty well to get. Later on it becomes less a parody of roleplaying in general and Dungeons and Dragons in particular, and more a comedic fantasy saga. I honestly don't know how you'll like it if you don't get the in-jokes. I think there's a lot to enjoy even if you don't, but I can't really say for sure!
